The EU Health Task Force (EUHTF) has deployed two ECDC experts to Freetown, Sierra Leone, via the DG ECHO Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) to support the national response to the ongoing mpox clade IIb outbreak.

An estimated five million people in the European Union and European Economic area (EU/EEA) are living with chronic hepatitis B or C – infections that are leading causes of liver disease and cancer – with the majority of people unaware they are infected.
